Stampede at Venkateswara Swamy Temple 10 Devotees Dead
Srikakulam- A sudden stampede broke out at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday on the occasion of Ekadashi. Due to Ekadashi, the temple was very crowded with devotees. During this, 10 devotees were reported to have been killed in the stampede that broke out due to chaos. Many devotees were seriously injured during the stampede, who have been admitted to nearby hospitals.
According to initial reports, the crowd suddenly increased near the entrance of the temple complex, which led to panic and stampede. The crowd made many people fall and crush them. During this incident, 10 devotees died and many were injured. According to information received from sources, the death toll may still increase. The administration has started relief and rescue operations.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the stampede at the Venkateswara temple and the deaths of several devotees in the process. He posted, "A heart-wrenching incident has taken place at the Venkateswara temple in Srikakulam district."
He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. The Chief Minister said that the administration has been ordered to provide immediate assistance to all the victims and injured.
