Hoshiarpur- The prize distribution ceremony of the district level primary games concluded with great pomp at Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium, Hoshiarpur. MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa attended as the chief guest, while Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh attended as special guests, Sarpanch Palwinder Singh Sajjan, Mayor Surinder Kumar and Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini. They encouraged the winning players by distributing prizes.
Addressing the children, Bram Shankar Jimpa said that sports are an integral part of life. They not only keep the body healthy, but also develop discipline, team spirit and self-confidence. 
He appealed to the children to stay away from mobile phones and television and participate more in sports, so that all-round development can take place. Congratulating the winners, he said that the players of Hoshiarpur should bring glory to the district at the state and national level.

In different weight categories of Karate, Hoshiarpur-2B, Hoshiarpur-1A etc. registered victories. In Wrestling, Talwara, Mahilpur-2, Bullowal etc. took first place.
