Ratia, December 28: Kulwant Singh Saini, Chairman of the Mandi Board Ratia, who was the chief guest at the sports competition organized by Nagar Sports Talent Live Academy Ratia at the Ratia Senior Secondary School ground, said that given the increasing menace of drug addiction in the Ratia area, continuous sports competitions can raise awareness among the youth about sports and save them from drug addiction.
Raghuveer Singh, coach of Nagar Sports Talent Live Academy Ratia, said that players from Ratia, Gram Panchayat Hansga, Nadodhi, and other villages participated in today's sports competition.  The competition included 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, and 1600 meters races for both men and women, high jump, long jump, shot put, walking race, discus throw, etc.

Therefore, to get the youth out of drug addiction, the government and administration should promote sports in every neighborhood and all panchayats of Ratia by providing sports equipment and grounds.
The basketball ground in Ratia city is also in very bad condition, even though more than 30 players come to play there every day. The district administration and the government should pay attention to this and get it repaired so that more and more children can play.
