Special Yoga Session Held at Bangarh Reserve Police Battalion

Una, June 19: A special yoga session was organized by the Department of AYUSH, Una, at the Reserve Police Battalion in Bangarh to mark the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026. District AYUSH Officer (Una), Dr. Kiran Sharma, was a special guest at the event. The Battalion Commandant, officers, and personnel participated enthusiastically and pledged to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
During the session, yoga instructors Amita Sharma and Richa guided the participants through various *asanas* (postures), *pranayama* (breathing exercises), and meditation. They provided detailed information on the scientific significance of yoga and its positive impact on physical, mental, and emotional health.
Other officials and staff members present on the occasion included Dr. Jagjit Dehal, Dr. Navdeep, Dr. Tyuji Sharma, Dr. Neeraj Poonar, APO Jagat Pal, and Vivek.
Addressing the gathering, District AYUSH Officer Dr. Kiran Sharma stated that yoga is an invaluable heritage of India's ancient knowledge tradition and an effective means of establishing a balance between the body and the mind. She noted that regular yoga practice leads an individual toward a healthy, energetic, and stress-free life.
She urged all those present to make yoga an integral part of their lives and to adopt a healthy, balanced lifestyle. She emphasized that yoga not only aids in disease prevention but also plays a crucial role in boosting positive energy and self-confidence.
This program was organized as part of the preparations for International Yoga Day 2026, with the aim of raising public awareness about yoga and disseminating the message of this year's theme—"Yoga for Healthy, Active, and Dignified Aging"—to every section of society.
All participants pledged to contribute to building a healthy society and a healthy nation by adopting the practice of yoga regularly.
