Patiala November 11- As per the orders of the Director Health and Family Welfare and following the guidelines of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Sanjay Kamra, the Health Department Patiala is celebrating a special vaccination week from 10 to 17 November in the area of ??all institutions of the district. Under which children and pregnant women who have been deprived of vaccination for any reason are being covered. Under this campaign, school children are also being vaccinated by the teams of the Health Department.
Giving information regarding the vaccination week, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Sanjay Kamra said that this week-long campaign is being led by District Vaccination Officer Dr. Kushaldeep Gill. Who are also checking the health department teams formed across the district and he said that the health department teams have already prepared lists of drop out and left out children and pregnant mothers by going door to door. In this regard, vaccination is being done by making a regular action plan so that no child or pregnant woman is left out of vaccination.
District Vaccination Officer Dr. Kushaldeep Gill said that during this campaign, special attention is being given to newborns born in high risk areas and homes of migrant population, children of laborers working in slums, orphanages and grain markets, children of the population living in areas where measles is prevalent etc. He appealed to the district residents and said that during this campaign, they must get their children vaccinated to protect them from diseases and take maximum benefit of this campaign.
