Special Investigation Branch Raids Ghaluwal in Haroli 940 Grams of Ganja Recovered
Haroli/Una, April 7 (Rajveer Chopra): The Special Investigation Branch of the Una District Police has intensified its crackdown on drug traffickers. Under an ongoing campaign launched on the directives of District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Sachin, the team is continuously tightening its noose around those involved in the drug trade.
In this context, acting on a tip-off received yesterday evening, a team from the Special Investigation Branch—led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Trilochan—conducted a raid in the migrant slum area located in Ghaluwal. During the operation, 940 grams of ganja, concealed inside a sack, was recovered.
A migrant woman, identified as a suspect in the case, has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated.
SP Sachin stated that the younger generation is putting its future at stake by falling into the trap laid by drug peddlers. He also appealed to parents to come forward and cooperate in eradicating this social evil.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sunil informed that a case has been registered against the accused woman, and further legal proceedings are underway. The subsequent investigation into the matter has been entrusted to Head Constable Virender.
The SP further noted that the district police, acting with vigilance and prudence against drug traffickers, is successfully putting such elements behind bars. He appealed to the general public that if anyone receives any information regarding drug trafficking, they should feel free to share it with the District Superintendent of Police via WhatsApp. The identity of the informant will be kept confidential.
