Special Intensive Revision2026 Twoday training program conducted
Sangrur, June 12:- To make the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of voter lists successful in the state of Punjab, a two-day training program was conducted from 11.06.2026 to 12.06.2026 at the meeting hall of the District Administrative Complex, Sangrur. The training was imparted by district-level master trainers to constituency-level master trainers, supervisors, and technical staff.
Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer, Sangrur, Mr. Ankur Mahendru, Election Tehsildar Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, and various nodal officers appointed for SIR were present at the training program.
During this training, the master trainers, supervisors, technical staff, and election staff from constituencies 099-Lehra, 101-Sunam, 107-Dhuri, and 108-Sangrur were trained on SIR on the first day. On 12.06.2026, training was imparted to the constituency-level master trainers, supervisors, technical staff, election staff, and nodal officers and members of various teams from constituency 100-Dirba.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Ankur Mahendru stated that the district-level training masters provided detailed information to the constituency-level trainers and nodal officers regarding the special intensive revision process of voter lists and the procedure for filling out the enumeration forms.
During the training, they were made aware of the details to be entered in the forms, the required documents, and the online uploading process. Furthermore, the main objective of SIR is to make the voter list 100 percent accurate.
Therefore, every BLO must carry out the work of visiting every household in their respective booth areas to fill out enumeration forms from June 25 to July 24, 2026, with complete impartiality and dedication. He also emphasized that no eligible voter's enumeration form should be left out and no incorrect information should be recorded.
