Special cleanliness drive should be launched in health institutions Aarti Singh Rao
Chandigarh, October 31 - Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao has directed the health department officials to keep the cleanliness system in all government health institutions of the state better and well-equipped. She said that a clean and hygienic environment is not only necessary for the health of the patients, but it also has a positive impact on the overall functioning of the hospitals and the quality of service.
The Health Minister said that the primary objective of the state government is that every citizen should get the benefit of clean, safe and standard facilities in government health institutions. Showing seriousness in this direction, she has directed to launch a special cleanliness drive in all government health institutions from November 2 to November 8.
She asked the officials to ensure that the hospital wards, emergency rooms, labor rooms, toilets and waiting rooms are cleaned regularly.
There should be no accumulation of dirt or garbage anywhere in the hospital premises. Biomedical waste should be disposed of on time as per the prescribed guidelines. He also directed the officers of the department to monitor the cleanliness drive and keep a record of every activity. Instructions have been given to share the photo of this drive.
Aarti Singh Rao also clarified that strict action will be taken against the responsible officers or employees if negligence is found.
The Health Minister said that the government is committed to making health institutions patient-friendly and clean. He also appealed to the general public to cooperate with the administration and employees in maintaining cleanliness in the hospital premises.
