South Africa defeated India by 30 runs

New Delhi:- The first match of the two-Test series between India and South Africa was played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In the match, South Africa defeated India by 30 runs. With this victory, South Africa has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. The pitch of this match was like a challenge for the batsmen.
The batsmen were seen struggling to score runs throughout the match. The poor performance of the batsmen can be estimated from this fact that only South African captain Temba Bavuma scored the highest half-century with 53 runs during the match. No other batsman could even score a half-century during the match.
Batting first, South Africa was all out in their first innings and scored 159 runs. After this, India scored 189 runs in their first innings and took a lead of 30 runs. After this, South Africa scored 153 runs in their second innings after being all out and gave India a target of 123 runs to win. Chasing the target, the Indian team was bowled out for 93 runs in their second innings and lost the match by 30 runs.
