Somnath Swabhiman Parv should be celebrated in a grand manner CPSCM Rajesh Khullar

Chandigarh, May 8:- Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rajesh Khullar held a video conference with all the District Deputy Commissioners of the state from Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday. During this, he directed everyone to celebrate 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv' in a grand manner on the upcoming 11th May. In this regard, all the preparations at the district level should be completed on time.
He said that Somnath Temple is a symbol of India's invincible civilization. Even after the devastating attacks, Somnath Temple stands today as an example of our self-respect and courage. The path to the modern Somnath Temple was paved 75 years ago. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself will reach Somnath Temple on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the dedication of the newly constructed Somnath Temple on 11th May 2026.
On this day, Somnath Swabhiman Parv will be celebrated in a grand manner across the country. During this, Kalash Yatra, spiritual events and programs on the heritage tradition of India will be organized. CPSCM Shri Rajesh Khullar instructed all the District Deputy Commissioners to organize this program in a grand manner.

Prime Minister's address will be live from Somnath
CPSCM Shri Rajesh Khullar said that on May 11, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address live from Somnath Temple. This live telecast will be shown in the district level program to be organized in each district. Kalash Yatra will be organized at the district level, which will end with Jalabhishek in the Shiva Temple. He said that public representatives should also be invited to the program. This is an important opportunity to be a part of our glorious history. Maximum people should show their public participation in this.
