Smart Manufacturing Awareness Session Held at Tahliwal Industrial Area
Haroli (Una), November 26. A Smart Manufacturing Awareness Session was held at Tahliwal Industrial Area on Wednesday to promote industrial modernization in Himachal Pradesh. MSME entrepreneurs, the Haroli Block Industrial Association, and government representatives participated in the event.
DIC Una Manager Kamla Devi assured industries of the government's support and plans to adopt modern technology and increase productivity.
She stated that the government is providing all possible assistance to industries in adopting modern technology and increasing productivity. "Our aim is to enable local industries to compete globally through digital and smart manufacturing," she said.
Haroli Industrial Association President Rakesh Kaushal, Vice President Nagendra Singh, General Secretary Rohit Verma, and Senior Advisor R.C. Taneja praised the event and emphasized the need for digital transformation. Senior officials of the Haroli Block Industrial Association were also present at the event.
In the session, experts from Central Electronics Limited outlined simple and practical ways to improve production through technologies such as automation, IT, and artificial intelligence. The focus was on reducing machine downtime, lowering defect rates, saving energy, and making quick decisions through real-time data.
Local industries showed keen interest in adopting these technologies, and several units sought support in predictive maintenance and digital inventory management. The session encouraged local industries to move towards digital and data-driven production systems, improving their global competitiveness and productivity.
