SIR2026 Training of Nodal Officers of Various Teams
Sangrur, June 17: To ensure the smooth implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls in Punjab, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, a meeting-cum-training session for the nodal officers and assistants of various teams constituted in district Sangrur was held at the District Administrative Complex, Sangrur, under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (J)-cum-Additional District Election Officer, Sangrur, Ankur Mahindroo.
During the meeting-cum-training, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) briefed all nodal officers on the process and schedule of SIR-2026. He also informed them about the roles and responsibilities of the various teams and directed them to ensure the timely completion of this important process so that no voter faces any inconvenience.
Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the draft publication of the voter list will be carried out on August 3, 2026. The period for filing claims and objections will be from August 3, 2026, to September 2, 2026. The disposal of claims and objections, along with the issuance of notices, will take place from August 3, 2026, to September 28, 2026.
Election Tehsildar Parmjeet Kaur, along with various nodal officers, was also present at the meeting.
