Silver fell by 6138 and gold by 1896 in a day
New Delhi:- Gold and silver prices fell on June 5. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association, the price of one kg of silver fell by ?6,138 to ?2.55 lakh, from ?2.61 lakh on Thursday. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by ?1,896 to ?1.54 lakh; it was ?1.66 lakh on June 4. Compared to their all-time highs, gold has become cheaper by ?21,931 and silver by ?1,30,983 in the last 127 days.
On January 29, the price of gold was ?1.76 lakh per 10 grams and the price of silver was ?3.86 lakh per kg. This year, gold and silver prices have witnessed continuous fluctuations. The price of gold was ?1.33 lakh on December 31, 2025, and reached a peak of ?1.76 lakh on January 29. Since then, the price of gold has fallen to ?21,931.
Similarly, the price of silver was ?2.30 lakh on December 31, 2025, and reached a peak of ?3.86 lakh on January 29. In the 127 days since then, silver has become cheaper by ?1.31 lakh.
