Sikh National College Banga planted saplings during NSS camp

Banga:- On the second day of the seven-day special camp being run by the NSS department of Sikh National College, Banga, under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder Ji, the morning meeting was organized first with the efforts of Program Officer Prof. Vipan, Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur and Prof. Tajinder Singh, Manraj Kaur Ji. Later, saplings were planted within the limits of Gurdwara Sahib of village Gobindpur with the support of the village panchayat.
On this occasion, village Sarpanch Sardar Satpal Singh Longia and Gurudwara Sahib President S. Joga Singh shared information about the historical background of Gobindpur village and also provided information about prominent personalities who have achieved fame in various fields. An awareness rally was organized in the village by the volunteers raising the slogan of drug-free Punjab.
On this occasion, the full support of Panchayat members Madam Gurpreet Kaur, Reena Rani, Mandeep Kaur, Harbans Lal and Jaswant Singh Ji was provided. In the evening, the volunteers held discussions on various social topics in the lower hall of the village Gurdwara Sahib, the purpose of which was to sensitize the villagers as well as to instill qualities like self-confidence in the volunteers.
On this occasion, Sewadar Manjit Singh, Jagtar Singh and Jaspal Singh also shared their views and the volunteers were encouraged. In the last session of the day, keeping in mind the entertainment of the students, the activity of 'Musical Chair' was organized. The day ended with the national anthem. The second day of the camp was completed under the supervision of volunteer Sukhneet Kaur.
