Significant Reduction in Crime Statistics Due to Improved Police Efforts
Karnal, January 14: Due to the improved efforts of the police in all three districts of the Karnal division, there has been a significant decrease in crime during the comparable period of 2025 compared to 2024. Cases of murder, robbery, burglary, vehicle theft, rape, and molestation have significantly decreased in 2025 compared to 2024.
Similarly, the Karnal division police, demonstrating hard work and bravery, have recovered 87 percent of public property in dacoity cases and 89 percent in robbery cases.
Under local and special acts, the recovery rate in NDPS Act and Arms Act cases has also been better in 2025 compared to 2024. In NDPS Act cases, 378 cases have been registered this year compared to 340 cases in 2024, resulting in the arrest of 669 criminals.
Under the directions and guidance of the Additional Director General of Police, Karnal Division, special teams were formed in 2025, and 172 villages and 28 wards in Karnal district, 254 villages and 107 wards in Kaithal district, and 170 villages and 35 wards in Panipat district have been made drug-free.
In this regard, Dr. M. Ravi Kiran, Additional Director General of Police, Karnal Division, stated that he has given clear instructions to the officers/personnel of all three districts of the Karnal division to conduct patrolling and set up checkpoints in their respective areas at varying times and to take timely preventive action to prevent crime.
Similarly, every possible effort should be made to arrest the accused in registered cases as quickly as possible and bring them to justice, and to recover the stolen/robbed property of the general public. This will help maintain public trust in the police, allow the people of the Karnal division to live in a peaceful environment, and instill fear of the police in the minds of criminals.
