Signature campaign launched to save the public from Tangri river floods

Ambala, June 1: Congress Councilor from Ward No. 14 of Ambala Cantt, Harminder Heera, organized a large gathering today under the chairmanship of Ambala MP Chaudhary Varun Mullana. He launched a signature campaign demanding that the administration make timely arrangements to protect residents of colonies situated along the banks of the Tangri River from floods.
Harminder Heera stated that people living along the banks of the Tangri River have to suffer the consequences of flooding every year. The month of June has already begun, yet the excavation work on the embankment and the river has not been completed. He warned that if this work is not finished promptly, the residents of Ambala will march from Ambala to the Governor's residence in Chandigarh and launch a massive protest.
Today's gathering was attended by Councilor Sudhir Jaiswal, Harminder Heera, Ward No. 11 Councilor Neelam Kashyap, senior Congress leader Karan Yadav (son of late Heera Lal Yadav), Old Vegetable Market President Vinod Johar, senior Congress leaders Atul Mahajan, Sandeep Singh, Aman Singh Shera, Satish Kanojia, Satish Saini, Women's Wing President Gauri Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Salim Ahmed, Ajay Kumar, Mohit Shakya, Durgesh Yadav, Chandra Yadav, and hundreds of residents living along the Tangri embankment.
