Signature campaign launched in Una to raise awareness about HIVAIDS and TB
Una, October 13 – Under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Una, Dr. Sanjeev Verma, a signature campaign for HIV/AIDS and TB awareness was launched today at the Regional Hospital, Una, in collaboration with the Sunrise NGO.
On this occasion, CMO Dr. Sanjeev Verma stated that the primary objective of this campaign is to raise awareness about HIV, AIDS, and tuberculosis (TB) and to involve them in this campaign. He stated that this signature campaign is being launched for the first time in Himachal Pradesh in Una district. All educational institutions in the district will be involved in this campaign to ensure that the message of public awareness reaches as many people as possible, including the youth.
Dr. Verma urged the citizens of the district to actively participate in this campaign and contribute to raising awareness about these diseases in the community.
On this occasion, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Vishal Thakur informed that a vulnerable population of 1,01,321 was identified in Una district, out of which TB testing of almost all the people has been completed. Apart from this, X-rays have also been done for TB testing of about 60 thousand people.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Una Dr. Sanjay Mankotia, District Program Officer Ankit Chaudhary, Dr. Pushpendra Rana, Dr. Richa Kalia, all Block Medical Officers, Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Rampal, Dr. Shingara Singh, Dr. Pankaj Parashar, Dr. Rahul Katana, Public Education and Information Officer Gopal Krishna, Lakshya Consultant Priya Sharma and others were present.
