SAS Nagar, November 27:- Shelby Hospital Mohali today launched its state-of-the-art robotic joint replacement system, which allows for minimally invasive, precise and advanced joint replacement surgery. Former Punjab Health Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The hospital’s orthopedic team Dr. Pradeep Agarwal (Chairman, Orthopedics Joint Replacement) and Dr. G.S. Nutt were also present on the occasion. A hospital spokesperson said that this AI-based system performs precise replacement of the patient’s specific knee and hip, which provides millimeter accuracy, less tissue damage, fewer complications and faster recovery.
Unit Head Gladwin Sandeep Nair said that Shelby has been leading the way in joint replacement for the last three decades. He said that with the introduction of robotic surgery, patients in Mohali will get world-class service with faster recovery, less pain and better outcomes.
