Share market falls in early trade
Mumbai, February 18 - Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty fell in early trade on Tuesday due to unfettered foreign fund outflows. After a day of relief, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex fell 201.44 points to 75,795.42 in early trade.
The NSE Nifty slipped 82.65 points to 22,876.85. Tata Steel, NTPC, IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India, UltraTech Cement and Tata Motors were the top losers from the Sensex pack. Tech Mahindra, Maruti, Infosys, HCL Tech and Tata Consultancy Services were among the gainers.
According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors offloaded equities worth Rs 3,937.83 crore on Monday.
