Amritsar, August 14:- Protests were being expressed regarding the arrest case. He said that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the government and the police, but at the same time it is also necessary to respect the democratic rights and religious sentiments of the people. Any matter should be resolved not by use of force or lathi charge, but through dialogue and action as per the law.
He said that the persons who ran over the Sangat at Gurdwara Sri Panjokhra Sahib in the past should be arrested and the arrested Sikh youth should be released immediately.
He said that the Sikh community has always raised its voice for justice, human rights and truth and such matters should also be resolved peacefully and constitutionally. He said that the Haryana government, understanding the sentiments of the Sikh community, should immediately adopt the path of dialogue so that the matter does not escalate further and the Sikh youth and their families get justice. Advocate Dhami clarified that using coercion with the community cannot solve the issue under any circumstances. The government should adopt a policy of impartiality, transparency and dialogue to maintain the trust of the people.
