Sensex 504 and Nifty fell 143 points
Mumbai:- Stock markets recorded a huge decline today. During this, the Sensex fell by about 504 points due to selling in Reliance Industries and continuous outflow of foreign funds.
On this occasion, a decline was recorded for the third consecutive session, due to which the 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 503.63 points to close at 85,138.27. On the other hand, the 50-share NSE Nifty fell by 143.55 points to close at 26,032.20.
During this, the highest decline was recorded in Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Bharat Electronics and Larsen & Toubro. However, shares of Asian Paints, Maruti, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance increased.
Among Asian markets, Shanghai's SSE Composite Index fell while South Korea's KOSPI, Japan's Nikkei 225 Index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index closed higher.
