SDM visits various villages to create awareness to stop burning of crop residue

Ratia, November 10:- Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surendra Singh visited various villages and collected feedback to stop burning of paddy residue. He visited Kanwalgarh, Bada, Kamana and other villages and went to the fields to create awareness to stop burning of paddy residue. He said that by burning paddy stubble, farmers are not only making their land barren but are also inviting deadly diseases in the future due to environmental pollution.
He said that departmental action is being taken against farmers who fail to manage and burn crop residue as per the rules. SDM Surendra Singh said that after harvesting the paddy crop using agricultural machinery, the stubble can be cut into small pieces and mixed with the soil to convert it into fertilizer.
With the help of Happy Seeder, farmers can directly sow wheat, eliminating the need for ploughing the field and increasing wheat production. He appealed to farmers to exercise restraint and encourage other farmers to avoid burning stubble residue to preserve soil fertility, prevent pollution and protect the public from harm.
