SDM Inspects Grain Market Reviews Crop Procurement Process and Issues Directives
Ratia, April 11:- SDM Surendra Singh visited the Ratia grain market to review the wheat procurement process. He directed officials of the Market Committee to ensure that the convenience and assistance of farmers remain the administration's top priority. He emphasized that the lifting of the wheat crop must be carried out immediately, and the procurement of wheat must be ensured in a timely manner, strictly adhering to prescribed standards.
During the visit, SDM Surendra Singh personally supervised on-the-spot moisture testing of the crop using a moisture meter. He further stated that a clean and well-organized environment must be ensured for both farmers and laborers. Additionally, all essential amenities should undergo regular maintenance.
He issued directives requiring officials to ensure that sanitation arrangements within the market premises are maintained in impeccable condition. He also appealed to the farmers to bring their crops to the market only after drying them to the stipulated moisture levels, thereby avoiding any potential difficulties. He noted that excessive moisture content in the crop increases the likelihood of delays in the procurement process.
