SDM holds meeting with officials to discuss grand celebration of Republic Day

Ratia, January 8: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surendra Singh held a meeting with officials in his office on Thursday to discuss the grand and enthusiastic celebration of Republic Day. He said that the Republic Day ceremony will be held at the grain market in Ratia. He instructed all officers and employees in the meeting to complete the preparations and arrangements for the Republic Day ceremony on time.
SDM Surendra Singh constituted a committee of concerned officers for the selection of cultural program teams and assigned them the responsibility, emphasizing that all cultural performances should be imbued with social messages, nationalism, and patriotism. He said that the Agriculture Department, Health Department, Education Department, Women and Child Development Department, and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Panchayati Raj, Nagpur, should also include high-quality tableaux showcasing the welfare policies implemented by the government in the ceremony.
The SDM assigned the responsibility to the municipal officials for the cleaning and painting of all the statues of freedom fighters and martyrs' memorials in the city, as well as arranging for sanitation, tents, carpets, and mats. He instructed the concerned officials to arrange for ambulances, drinking water, electricity, rangoli and lime, leveling the ground and stage arrangements, the national anthem, and directed the police department to ensure traffic and security arrangements.
He informed that the first rehearsal will be held on January 20 at the Government Senior Secondary School, Ratia, and the full dress final rehearsal will be held on January 24 at the designated place and time. He said that Republic Day is a national festival of India, and therefore, whatever responsibility has been assigned to any department regarding the program, it should be fulfilled with utmost seriousness. The departments that are to honor their employees and students during the ceremony should provide their details in the prescribed format to his office by January 19. The committee will verify these details on January 20. He instructed all departments located in Ratia to ensure that they and all their subordinate employees are present at the designated time and place during the Republic Day program. On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Vichitra Nand, Municipal Secretary Shubham, BDPO Vikas Kumar Langyan, SMO Dr. Jas Kumar, Public Health SDO Anchal Jain, Irrigation Department officials Kuldeep Singh and Sandeep Kumar, BAO Rajesh Syokand, writer Dr. Naib Singh Mander, SEPO Rajendra, Professor Paramjit Sandha, Principal Tarun Gera, JE Chhotu Ram, Vijendra Singh, Gulshan Kumar, Supervisors Sunita Rani and Usha, Accountant Mahesh Kumar, Balram, and other officers from various departments were present.
