Patiala, October 26 - Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudhansadhan Kripalveer Singh visited various villages today and invited the farmers to adopt in situ and ex situ techniques for stubble management. On this occasion, he went to the fields of farmers who were sowing wheat with Super Seeder at village Miranpur and encouraged them. And extinguished the fire in the fields at Masingan village by going to the spot and taking action on the harvesting combine without Super SMS.
Kripalveer Singh said that the entire administration is deployed in the field to assist the farmers in stubble management in the sub-division Dudhanasadha and the nodal officers in the village are going to the places where the farmers are being made aware of the damage caused by setting the stubble on fire. At the same time, the farmers are being contacted with the concerned departments to make available the machinery used in stubble management.
He said that farmers are also using latest technologies for stubble management. Encouraging the farmers who are sowing with Super Seeder at village Miranpur, he said that only due to the efforts made by such farmers, there has been a reduction in the incidence of stubble fires.
