School vehicle inspections continue 182 vehicles inspected so far 60 challaned

Una, March 12: On the instructions of the Una District Administration, to ensure the safety of school children and ensure compliance with prescribed safety standards, the police and related departments are continuing to inspect the documents of school buses and vans at various locations in the district. So far, 182 school vehicles have been inspected as part of the campaign, and 60 vehicles have been challaned for violating rules. One vehicle has also been seized.
It is noteworthy that Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal, recently issued necessary instructions regarding the operation of school buses and other school vehicles, keeping in mind the safety of school children, and directed the concerned officials to conduct special inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
In this sequence, teams from the police and related departments conducted inspections at various locations. During this inspection, the buses' fitness certificates, registration, insurance, pollution under control (PUC) certificates, and other necessary documents were checked.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the safety of school children is a top priority for the district administration, and such inspections will continue to ensure adherence to prescribed safety standards. He directed school management and vehicle operators to strictly follow all regulations.
