The objective of the drive was to ensure the safe transportation of schoolchildren and to enforce compliance with prescribed safety standards for school vehicles.
During this drive, thorough inspections were carried out on school buses operated by Adarsh School (Kunjpura Road, Karnal), Narayana School (Basant Vihar, Karnal), and Montfort School (Village Subri). The inspection covered all essential documents—such as fitness certificates, insurance, permits, and pollution certificates—as well as the driver's license, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, speed governors, GPS systems, emergency exits, CCTV cameras (where applicable), and other safety-related arrangements.

DSP Traffic Sonu Narwal stated that the safety of children is the top priority for the district police. Regular inspections of school buses will continue, and action in accordance with the law will be taken against those violating safety standards. He also appealed to parents to immediately inform the police or the concerned department if they notice any safety-related deficiencies in any school vehicle. The checking team comprised the following officers and personnel: Sonu Narwal (HPS), DSP Traffic (Karnal); Sub-Inspector Ramphal (Highway Police Station, Karnal); Assistant Sub-Inspector Ajay Kumar, Coordinator (Highway Police Station, Karnal); Head Constable Usm Singh, Reader to DSP Traffic (Karnal); SPO Rajendra (Highway Police Station, Karnal); and Home Guard Jai Kishore.
