Ambala, June 26:- A major road accident took place under the Bhanokheri flyover in Ambala this morning when a Scholar School bus lost control and crashed into a wall built on the side of the road. In this accident, 9 teachers on board the bus were injured and were taken to the Civil Hospital in Ambala city with the help of passers-by. It is being told that the school bus was going to Bhanokheri from Ambala city. Meanwhile, a dumper full of soil was coming from the wrong direction, from which the bus lost control and crashed straight into the wall.
The injured include Reena (45) resident of Durga Nagar, Kanika (36) resident of Ambala city, Anju (22) resident of Durga Nagar, Mandeep Kaur (31) resident of Ambala city, Mamta Rani (32) resident of Patiala, Ritu (42) resident of Baldev Nagar, Romi Sandhu (35) resident of Vishnu Vihar Ambala city, Rajni (38) resident of Ambala city and Gurjinder Singh (40) resident of Tangria. According to the information, Reena has been admitted to the Civil Hospital and Gurjinder Singh has been referred to PGI while the rest have been sent home after providing first aid.
Director of Scholar School Gurtej Singh said that the school management had organized a tour of Chandigarh for the teachers. All the teachers were to gather at the school campus in the morning from where they were to leave for Chandigarh. However, the accident occurred before reaching the school.
