Scholarship Amount of 119 Lakh Distributed to 14 Amritdhari Students of Khalsa College
Garhshankar: At Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar—managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)—a scholarship amount totaling ?1,19,000 was distributed to 14 Amritdhari students. The distribution was carried out by former MLA and SGPC member Contractor Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan and Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera.
Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera stated that the SGPC had released this scholarship fund for the 14 Amritdhari students. He noted that the students—Simran Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Rajvinder Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Kiranjeet Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur, Rajni Kaur, Arshpreet Singh, Sukhvir Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Vanshdeep Singh, Harveer Singh, Gurpreet Singh, and Dilpreet Singh—each received a scholarship amount of ?8,500.
Speaking on the occasion, Contractor Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan commended the SGPC's initiative, highlighting that the committee is making significant contributions to the field of education alongside its efforts to propagate the faith. He congratulated the scholarship recipients and encouraged them to work even harder in their studies.
Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera also encouraged the students to make meaningful use of the funds and strive for better academic performance. Harjit Singh Bhatpapur, Religious Teacher Amritpal Singh, Superintendent Parminder Singh, Gurinderjit Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
