Schedule of CM Manns Shukrana Yatra finalized

Jalandhar:- The state government has finalized the minute-to-minute plan for the four-day ‘Shukrana Yatra’ to be taken out across the state from May 6 to 9. Led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government intends to thank God for the passage of the Jagat Jyot Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Amendment) Act, 2026 and garner support for it.
The yatra will start from near Gurdwara Anandpur Sahib on May 6 morning and will conclude at Fatehgarh Sahib on May 9 afternoon. On the first day, the party leadership will set off in a convoy passing through Ropar and Garhshankar and will pay obeisance at Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of Bhagat Singh in Nawanshahr and will conclude at Phagwara. An overnight stay has been planned for Jalandhar.
The second day's yatra will start from the Chief Minister's official residence Old Barandari in Jalandhar from where the teams will proceed to Adampur, Baba Bakala and pay obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The second day's yatra will be the longest, crossing Doaba, Majha and crossing Malwa after a stopover at Tarn Taran. Entry into Malwa will be via Zira, Kotkapura and Faridkot.
After a night stopover at Sangrur, the yatra will travel from Bathinda to Kot Shamir on May 8 and will take a break at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo. The next short stages will be at Arvind Nagar in Mansa, Banwai village in Sardulgarh, Handaya, Barnala and Mastuana Sahib in Sunam.
On May 9, the yatra will travel from Sangrur to Sunam, Samana and Patiala. It will finally conclude at Fatehgarh Sahib. At all stages during the yatra, the Chief Minister will address local MLAs, constituency in-charges and leaders. Sweet Chhabeel water stalls will also be set up at the local level.
