Patiala:- A literary event and Kavi Darbar was organized by Gyandeep Sahit Sadhna Manch (Regd.) Patiala at the Seminar Hall of the Language Department Punjab, Patiala on Sunday, 19/07/2026, in which renowned poets and scholars from Patiala and surrounding cities participated. The event was presided over by Dr. G.S. Anand, President of Gyandeep Manch. Initiating the Kavi Darbar dedicated to "Sawan" (Monsoon), General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Chann Patialvi gave a brief overview of the Manch's activities and the present poets. Following this, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon initiated the event with a beautiful song.
Those gracing the presidium, including Dr. G.S. Anand, Kulwant Singh Narike, Dr. Ravi Bhushan Singla, Dr. Santokh Sukhi, Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra, and Jaswinder Kaur, also shared their thoughts and compositions.
In his presidential address, Dr. G.S. Anand said that poets are the treasure of the country and the nation. Their writings possess the power to change society's mindset. The Manch's Finance Secretary Kulwant Singh Saidoke thanked all the litterateurs and listeners who reached the event.
In the poetry session, poets present including Bachan Singh Guram, Kulwant Singh Saidoke, Darshan Singh Darsh Pasyana, Trilok Singh Dhillon, Jaswinder Singh Khara, Kuldeep Kaur Dhanju, Gurdarshan Singh Gusil, Rajbir Singh Mallhi, Ram Singh Bang, Jagpal Chahal, Avatarjit Attwal, Navdeep Mundi, Balwinder Bhatti, Krishan Dhiman, Mohinder Singh Jaggi, Gurmel Singh S.D.O., Balbir Singh Dildar, Mangat Khan, Manmohan Singh Nabha, and Rajeshwar Kumar presented their compositions and captivated the audience. Gurdeep Singh Saggu, Gurdev Singh, and Jagan Singh were also present. The duties of photography were gracefully performed by Darsh Pasyana.
