Ratia, October 24th - The Sarva Samaj Sabha, Ratia, organized an award ceremony at Bhagat Namdev Dharamshala. Station House Officer Ranjit Singh Bhinder was the chief guest, while President Satpal Jindal presided over the ceremony.
The Sabha's General Secretary, Dr. Naib Singh Mander, introduced the honorees and presented a report on honoring six prominent social workers who saved lives in two different incidents. The Sabha's Senior Vice President, Captain Jagjit Singh Ratangarh, welcomed the guests.
Press Secretary Happy Singh Sethi presented the honor letters to the honorees. On this occasion, the Sabha honored Station House Officer Ranjit Singh Bhinder, Sub-Inspector Kanwar Singh, ASI Mahendra Singh, Head Constable Gursevak Singh, social worker Jagdish Mittal, and social worker Vimla Devi with certificates of appreciation and shawls.
After being honored, Police Station Incharge Ranjit Singh Bhinder said in his address that we are dedicated towards our duty. We have done our duty which is our duty. He said that along with the dignity of the post, we are also social beings.
Sabha President Satpal Jindal, while thanking, said in his address that Sarva Samaj Sabha has been dedicated to social service for the last 23 years and has always been at the forefront in supporting the administration for good social works.
He told that with the help of people, social work like construction of girls school building, repairing the drainage of dirty water under the bridge of Ghaggar river, raising the demand before the government for free treatment for diseases like Hepatitis C has been done.
 On this occasion, President Satpal Jindal, General Secretary Dr. Naeb Singh Mander, Captain Jagjit Singh, Vice President Narendra Grover, Board of Directors Sushil Jain, Treasurer Sher Singh Bhullar, Press Secretary Happy Singh Sethi, Roop Singh Khokhar, Advocate Balwinder Sharma, Iqbal Singh, Rajpal Grover, Vinna Jindal (Vinod Jain), Bhupinder Saini, Advocate Harpal Groha, Karnail Singh Sagu, Rajendra Monga, Gurnam Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Lakha, Mohan Mittal, Suresh Kumar, Vikram Saini, Mandeep Saini and a large number of prominent people were present.
