SantoshgarhJaijon road to be upgraded with Rs 500 crore Deputy Chief Minister

Una, October 30 – Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri announced that the Santoshgarh-Jaijon road under the Haroli Assembly constituency will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 500 crore. A detailed project report is being prepared for this project under the PM Gati Shakti Project. This project will develop a four-lane road leading to the Bulk Drug Park.
He was addressing a public gathering on Thursday after inaugurating the newly constructed Panchayat Ghar and Community Center in Gram Panchayat Chhetran. This two-story building was constructed by the Gram Panchayat itself and was constructed economically at a cost of only Rs 70 lakh.
The Deputy Chief Minister commended the Panchayat for its efficient use of resources and announced Rs 1 crore for the construction of the community hall in Chhetran Panchayat.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that ?10 crore has been approved for road improvement and expansion in Chhatran Panchayat, ensuring the construction of drains along with roads. He stated that this will facilitate easy transportation for local residents.
He stated that a 2.5 million liter water storage tank is being constructed at a height of 25 meters in Amrali. A coffee house-like facility will be developed for the public below it. This is a ?24 crore project, for which tenders worth ?3.50 crore have been issued.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that development transcends party politics. Our objective is to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach every individual and that everyone's work is prioritized.
He stated that significant progress has been made in the field of water management in the "Beet area." Beet, once a water-scarce area, now has water facilities available to every household and every farm. He stated that work is in full swing on the "Beet Area Phase 2," an elevated drinking water scheme to be constructed at a cost of ?75 crore. Under this scheme, water will be lifted from the Swan River and transported to a 1.1 million liter capacity tank in Palakwah, from where, through a 43 km main pipeline and an 80 km distribution network, approximately 50,000 kanals of land in 28 villages will receive irrigation facilities.
He informed that under Phase 1, the work of providing water to farmers through 18 tube wells was completed at a cost of ?44 crore. Due to continuous efforts, the Beet area, once considered barren, has now become a stronghold of cash crops.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Jal Shakti Department projects have been completed in Pubowal, Baliwal, Haroli, and Naganwali at a cost of ?24 crore.

*Haroli Assembly Constituency to Receive New Irrigation Scheme Worth ?100 Crore*
Mr. Agnihotri informed that a new irrigation scheme worth ?100 crore has been approved for the Haroli Assembly Constituency under the MCAD component. Under this, the area will be divided into three clusters – Tahliwal, Haroli, and Khad – and the irrigation system will be strengthened with modern technology.
He said that a new drinking water scheme worth Rs. 175 crore is also being prepared from Bhabhaur Sahib to Polian Beet. Tubewells have been installed in almost every village in the area for public convenience. So far, 218 tubewells have been installed, and the remaining needs will be met soon.
He said that the conservation and beautification of ponds is also a priority for the government. Recently, Rs. 2 crore each has been approved for the restoration of ponds in Hiran and Beetan Panchayats.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that he is committed to building a fully developed Haroli. Unprecedented work in the areas of education, health, roads, bridges, water, and electricity has made Haroli a model area for development.
Chhetran Panchayat Pradhan Vikas Singh warmly welcomed Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and expressed his gratitude for keeping the Panchayat on the path of continuous development. He informed that a shed costing ?25 lakh was constructed in the Baba Bhartrihari Temple complex using funds provided by the Deputy Chief Minister.
Four open-air gyms and three rain shelters have been built in the Panchayat. Furthermore, the construction of cisterns, drinking water and irrigation projects, and road improvements have also been successfully completed. The Pradhan also placed some important demands of the Panchayat before the Deputy Chief Minister.
