Santoshgarh Municipal Councils First Monthly Meeting Concludes Emphasis on Expediting the Sewerage System
Santoshgarh/Una, July 25 (Rajveer Chopra): The first monthly meeting of the newly elected executive body of the Santoshgarh Municipal Council was held on Saturday at the Council office, presided over by Chairperson Anjana Chabba. Detailed discussions took place regarding the town's overall development, issues of public interest, the expansion of basic infrastructure, and the improvement of civic amenities.
During the meeting, ongoing development works in various wards were reviewed, and future action plans were deliberated upon. Chairperson Anjana Chabba stated that the Municipal Council's primary objective is to provide better civic amenities to the town's residents. She affirmed that resolving the issues faced by each ward would be prioritized and that there would be no laxity in development activities.
Special emphasis was placed on the early and smooth implementation of the town's long-pending sewerage system. It was agreed to hold an immediate meeting with officials from the Jal Shakti Department to take necessary steps and accelerate the work through inter-departmental coordination.
Additionally, issues related to wastewater drainage in various wards were discussed in detail. Expressing concern over the difficulties residents face due to the lack of proper drainage systems in several areas, instructions were issued to formulate plans for a permanent solution and for officials to take prompt action.
The meeting also emphasized making the town's sanitation system more effective, improving public amenities, and completing development works within a set timeframe. Council members presented issues and development-related suggestions concerning their respective wards, and it was decided to address these matters on a priority basis. Municipal Council Vice-President Sandeep Kumar, Ward-1 Councilor Anju Bala, Ward-3 Councilor Charanjeet Kaur, Ward-4 Councilor Iqbal Singh, Ward-6 Councilor Kusum Lata, Executive Officer Harsh Gupta, Sanitary Inspector Ashutosh Sharma, Junior Engineers Arsh Ratan, Jaswinder Singh, and Baljeet Singh, along with Ruchi and other officials and staff members, were present on this occasion.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairperson Anjana Chabba stated that the Municipal Council is committed to accelerating the development of Santoshgarh through public cooperation, transparency, and accountability. She assured that the issues faced by the town's residents would be resolved on a priority basis and within a stipulated timeframe.
