Santoshgarh/Una, January 15: The auspicious festival of Sankranti was celebrated with devotion, reverence, and enthusiasm at the historic Shri Guru Ravidas Temple in Santoshgarh on Wednesday. ??A large number of devotees gathered at the temple premises and remembered the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The program commenced under the guidance of Chief Baba Kewal Singh, who had come from Tapasthan Shri Khuralgarh Sahib. He, along with Baljinder Singh, Deepak Singh, and Baba Naresh Singh's jatha (group), enthralled the congregation with Gurbani kirtan (devotional singing).
During the kirtan, famous verses from Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's teachings, such as "Begampura Shehar Ko Naun" and "Ganga Bich Patthar Tare Ravidas Guru Ne," were sung soulfully. These devotional renditions filled the temple premises with a spiritual atmosphere, and the devotees were immersed in devotion. The congregation also pledged to follow the teachings of Guru Maharaj.
On this occasion, the temple committee honored the saints and dignitaries who attended the program. Balwant Singh, Chairman of the Shri Guru Ravidas Jor Mela Committee, appreciated the social and religious work being done by the Guru Ravidas Temple Committee and said that such events strengthen mutual brotherhood and harmony in society.
The successful organization of the program was made possible by the special contributions of the President of the Guru Ravidas Temple Committee, Kulwinder, Secretary Manohar Bhisi, Treasurer Ashok Kumar, along with Balram Mahe, Surjit Singh, Raj Kumar, Bachan Chand Patel, Sulinder, Naresh Kumar, Taveen, Ashu, Mahadev, and other office bearers and members. Finally, after the Ardas (prayer), prasad (consecrated food) was distributed among the congregation.
