Sandstorm in 5 districts of Rajasthan Daylight turns to darkness
Bhopal/Jaipur/Lucknow/Patna:- On Saturday afternoon, a sandstorm hit five districts of Rajasthan: Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh and Sikar. As a result, an area of ??about 200 square kilometers was affected. The sandstorm began in Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar areas.
During the incident, strong winds blew at a speed of 60 to 80 kmph. The sky turned dark due to the sandstorm, even though it was daytime. As a result of the storm, people were forced to turn on the headlights of their vehicles during the day. Several videos of the incident have surfaced, in which people are seen running indoors and locking their houses.
Locals commented that they had never seen such a sandstorm before. The dust cloud is reported to have risen to a height of 80 to 100 feet; however, no official figures have been released yet about the maximum height of the storm. Meanwhile, the impact of the storm uprooted several trees and snapped electricity poles.
So far, there are no reports of any casualties. In fact, this storm, which originated from Pakistan, has affected the districts of Rajasthan located along the border.
