Saints Guide Society on the Path of Truth Service and Patriotism Chief Minister

Chandigarh, July 27:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that the lives of saints and spiritual leaders are a source of inspiration for society. Their ideals promote humanity, selfless service, brotherhood and nation-building. He emphasized that the younger generation must be connected with these values so that harmony, moral character and social unity can be further strengthened.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the Murti Pran Pratishtha (idol consecration) ceremony at the newly constructed samadhi (memorial shrine) of Shri Shri 1008 Siddh Baba Khak Nath Ji Maharaj in Ujhana village of Jind district on Monday. Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, Haryana Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, Mahant of Asthal Bohar Math, Rohtak and Tijara MLA Mahant Balak Nath, Ujhana Math Mahant Raj Nath, Mahant Puran Nath, and several other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
Responding to the demands of the villagers, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced ?1 crore for the construction of a community centre in Ujhana and an additional ?51 lakh for other developmental works in the village. He also announced that roads would be constructed, the village pond (Kund Talab) would be renovated, a permanent solution for water drainage would be implemented, and a science faculty would be introduced in the village school. During the visit, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the temple, participated in the Yajna by offering the Purnahuti, and performed the flag-hoisting ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the consecration of a saint's idol is not merely a religious ritual but symbolizes establishing faith in one's life, embracing truth in one's conduct, cultivating compassion in one's behaviour, and promoting service and harmony in society. He expressed happiness that the sacred Ujhana Math has remained a centre of faith for millions of devotees for nearly 600 years. He added that India's greatest strength lies in its rich spiritual heritage.
Appreciating the Ujhana Dham for running a Gaushala (cow shelter), the Chief Minister said that such institutions represent the compassion and sensitivity embedded in Indian culture. He stated that cow protection is not only a matter of religious faith but also a cultural responsibility, and preserving nature and protecting cows are values that will help India emerge as a global spiritual leader.
He further said that saints have always inspired society towards unity, human service and spiritual awakening. Whenever society has lost its direction, saints have acted as guiding lights. Following their teachings is essential for building a strong, civilized and morally responsible society.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government is continuously working to spread the teachings and contributions of saints across every household. The State Government has launched the 'Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar Prasar Yojana', under which birth anniversaries and commemorative days of great saints are being observed on a large scale so that the younger generation can draw inspiration from their lives.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving steadily towards restoring and strengthening its cultural heritage and spiritual identity. Projects such as the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Mahakal Lok are revitalizing India's cultural consciousness. Alongside rapid infrastructure development, the country's ancient spiritual traditions are also being preserved and promoted.
Highlighting the government's performance, the Chief Minister said that out of 217 commitments made during the elections, 66 have already been fulfilled within one and a half years, while work on the remaining promises is progressing. He stated that during the BJP government's third term, Haryana is procuring the highest number of crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) compared to other states. Under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women are receiving ?2,100 per month, economically weaker women are being provided LPG cylinders at ?500, free dialysis facilities are available for patients, district hospitals are being upgraded, and new medical colleges are being established across the state.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Haryana Government is committed to the welfare and all-round development of every citizen. He said the government is working with an inclusive approach and has established a transparent and people-centric governance system. Congratulating devotees on the consecration ceremony of Shri Shri 1008 Siddh Baba Khak Nath Ji Maharaj, he said that such events strengthen spiritual awareness, social harmony and cultural values. He urged people to adopt the ideals of saints in their lives and contribute towards environmental conservation, cow protection, social service and the welfare of humanity.

Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi said the religious event organized in Jind was held at an auspicious time. He remarked that it was a matter of great fortune that people had the opportunity to witness both revered saints and the state's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, together on one platform. According to him, the coming together of spiritual leaders and a public servant symbolizes greater prosperity, peace and development for the state.

Haryana Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Middha said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has introduced welfare schemes and policies based on the needs of every family in the state. Government benefits are reaching deserving people effectively, and youth are being recruited to government jobs purely on merit without corruption or recommendations. He added that the Chief Minister's simplicity, humility and style of governance are being appreciated across the country, with leaders from other states also drawing inspiration from his approach.

**Rapid Development Taking Place in Haryana: MLA Mahant Yogi Balak Nath
Mahant Yogi Balak Nath, MLA from Tijara (Rajasthan), said Haryana is witnessing rapid development under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He remarked that while Rajasthan still requires considerable developmental work, Haryana's BJP government has even constructed paved roads leading to agricultural fields. He also appealed to people to spread the teachings of Baba Khak Nath Ji from door to door for the welfare and upliftment of humanity.
