Nawanshahr- On the holy festival of Diwali, Sahyog Sewa Society distributed 90 kg of sweets and fruits to 60 needy people living in slums in the city's slum area near New Grain Market. On this occasion, the chairman of the organization, Pradeep Joshi, and vice president, Chetan Sharma, said that the real joy of festivals is found in celebrating them together.
They said that just as we celebrate Diwali in our homes, similarly we should share happiness with everyone without any secretiveness. The president of the organization, Pradeep Dhingra, said that we should all celebrate all festivals together, including Diwali. He said that we should avoid online shopping and buy lamps from those selling clay lamps so that these people can also celebrate the joy of Diwali in their homes.
On this occasion, General Secretary Manish Khosla, Press Secretary Karan Kalra, Vinod Handa, Suresh Sharma, Manish Sharda, Chandramohan Handa and Rhythm Arora also wished everyone a happy Diwali and said that the festival is not just about lights or sweets but should also be a means of bringing happiness in the lives of others.
