Sahibzada Ajit Singh Hostel celebrated Teej festival
Patiala, August 18:- Sahibzada Ajit Singh Hostel, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with Basant Ritu Youth Club Tripari celebrated Teej festival with great pomp and show at the Community Center. The program was presided over by Warden Meena Sharma of the Youth Hostel.
At the beginning of the program, all the women dressed in Punjabi attire presented a Punjabi cultural program colored in the colors of Teej and passed the time by singing folk songs, gidhas and Punjabi dialects.
Dedicating this program to Youth Hostel Day, Youth Warden Meena Sharma said that in today's era, we have a dire need to save our Punjabi culture. Because the influence of Western culture is having a greater impact on our children. Therefore, we need to connect our children with the colorful culture of our colorful Punjab.
Teej festival plays a major role in highlighting the old traditions and heritage colors of Punjabi culture, especially in this program. On this festival, women and girls should come together and express their happiness by coloring in Punjabi culture and give a message that our heritage is richer than the whole world. To save it, there is a dire need for people from every section to save it through their own efforts.
Youth Warden Meena Sharma also said that youth hostels are being run by the Government of India and the Ministry of Sports all over India. The aim of which is to provide accommodation facilities to people, especially the youth, is on a no-profit, no-loss basis, so that the youth of all over India can contribute to the development of Indian culture by joining hands with each other.
