Rural Workers Union submitted a memorandum to BDPO Nawanshahr

Nawanshahr:- Today, the Rural Workers Union area Nawanshahr submitted a memorandum to BDPO Nawanshahr regarding the demands of the workers regarding the restarting of the stopped work of MGNREGA workers and payment of the remaining daily wages. Kiranjit Kaur, president of the area committee of the union, said that the work of MGNREGA workers has been stopped for a long time in the Nawanshahr area, due to which the livelihood of the workers is very difficult.
Because most of the villagers earn their living under the work of NREGA. He said that through this petition, a demand was made to repeal the Developed Bharat Ji Ram Ji Act and restore the MGNREGA Act, to provide work for the entire year with a daily wage of Rs 700 to all the members of all the working families under it, to resume the work of MGNREGA workers that had been stopped for a long time, to pay the work done on the canals and Sutlej river by MGNREGA workers during the floods and rains in Punjab last year, to give unemployment allowance to the workers of that village in case there is no outstanding money and to give fixed salary to the workers working in MGNREGA.
On this occasion, the area presidents of the union Kiranjit Kaur, Surinder Mirpuri, Satnam Singh Ladi Kot Ranjha, Kiranjit Kaur Kot Ranjha, Surinder Shinda Sanawa, Prem Shahabpur, Amardas Rakasan, Sumel Singh, Prem Singh, Rani Muzaffar Par were present.
