RoadwaysPunbus strike ends Passengers breathe a sigh of relief

Amritsar:- The strike called by Punbus and PRTC contract workers union ended on the fifth day in the afternoon. After this, government buses have come back on the roads across the state and people have breathed a sigh of relief. The government has said that minor sections registered against the arrested union leaders will be withdrawn. Other main demands of the employees will be fulfilled after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's foreign tour.
During this strike that has been going on for the last five days, about 2500 government buses did not ply on the routes, due to which Punjab buses were not seen on Delhi, Chandigarh, Sriganganagar, Jammu and other major routes. Due to this, many people travelling in the state were in trouble.

Union leader Kewal Singh has confirmed that services have been restored as soon as the strike ends and buses are running again. Earlier, the employees had put forward demands from the government regarding the release of arrested leaders, opposition to privatization, salary and other conditions.
