Revision in Timelines for Licensed Mining Activities
Una, March 28:— With the objective of ensuring effective control over illegal mining and unregulated transportation within the district, District Magistrate Una, Jatin Lal, has issued new directives by amending previously issued orders regarding licensed mining activities. This decision has been taken under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, based on the recommendations of the Police Department.
According to the amended orders, a complete ban will remain in force on all mining-related activities between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Conversely, activities such as mining, excavation, and loading may only be conducted between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Furthermore, the transportation of mined material via tippers or trucks will be permitted only between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
The District Magistrate has clarified that all mining operations must be conducted strictly in accordance with valid permits and licenses. To ensure the effective implementation of these orders, the Police Department and the Mining Department will jointly conduct regular inspections, and strict action will be ensured in cases involving illegal mining or unauthorized transportation.
These orders have come into force with immediate effect and shall remain operative until further orders are issued.
