Review of preparations for Santosh Trophy Championship at Khalsa College Mahilpur
Hoshiarpur:- The administrative preparations for the Group-A football matches of the 79th Santosh Trophy being organized by the All India Football Federation at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium located at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur were reviewed under the leadership of Arjuna Awardee Football Player Gurdev Singh Gill, General Secretary of Punjab Football Association Harjinder Singh Jagga, Joint Secretary Vijay Bali, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh said that it is a matter of pride that the sports grounds of Khalsa College Mahilpur have been selected for the Santosh Trophy matches being held from 15 to 19 December under the leadership of Punjab Football Association. He said that preparations are underway for the smooth conduct of the matches. On this occasion, the Secretary of the Association, Harjinder Singh, said that in this championship, teams from Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and other states will compete in Group A of the Senior National Football Championship. He said that the Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Stadium located in the college and the college sports grounds have made an important contribution to the history of football and the organizers are making preparations for the Santosh Trophy matches with great effort. Joint Secretary Vijay Bali and prominent farmer leader Talwinder Singh Heer, present on the occasion, said that the Santosh Trophy football matches in Mahilpur will be a big attraction for the sports lovers of the area.
