Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 9:- Mrs. Sonam Chaudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar held a review meeting today with the officers/employees of Rural Development and Panchayat Department regarding various development works. DDPO, BDPO, Panchayat Secretary and MGNREGA staff (APO, TA and GRS) were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, the ADC discussed in detail with all the Panchayat Secretaries about the funds of the 15th Finance Commission and asked the Panchayat Secretaries about the reasons for which the funds have not been spent so far in many villages. It was told that work is going on in all the villages, all the funds of the 15th Finance Commission which are lying unused will be spent soon.
After this, the work going on to build playgrounds in the villages was discussed. The ADC instructed all GRSs to complete the work of all the playgrounds as soon as possible and to initiate action to build playgrounds in other villages as well. Similarly, the BDPO was instructed to complete the ongoing work of solid waste management in the villages as soon as possible.
The ADC was instructed to prepare estimates for a major solid waste management project to solve the waste problem in villages Bahlolpur and Jujhar Nagar. The BDPOs were instructed to ensure the attendance of maximum number of Sarpanchs/Panches in the GPDP trainings and the reports of social audit should also be completed as soon as possible. 
Along with this, instructions were given to take appropriate action to speed up the progress of houses being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
