Sangrur, 17 August:- An important review meeting regarding disposal of complaints and difficulties of traders was held by Vice Chairman of Punjab State Trader Commission Shri Anil Thakur at District Administrative Complex.
On this occasion Shri Anil Thakur said that Mann Government has approved amount of Rs 40 crore for Trade Commission. From this amount, about Rs 02-02 crore has been distributed to each district. With this special fund, long-standing basic problems in commercial markets of state will be solved.
He said that under this fund, works will be done for construction and repair of modern washrooms in markets, construction and repair of roads, disposal of electricity-related problems and development of other required civic facilities, which will give great benefit to traders as well as common people.
He said that for first time in Punjab, any government has established assembly constituency and district level Traders Commissions for solving local level problems related to traders and shopkeepers.
Apart from this, at state level, Punjab State Traders Commission has been constituted under leadership of Finance Minister, which is working to solve their difficulties by directly interacting with traders.
Shri Anil Thakur said that under leadership of Punjab State Traders Commission, more than 800 meetings have been held with traders across state so far by assembly constituency and district level Traders Commissions.
During these meetings, along with disposal of local level problems of traders and shopkeepers, many important decisions have also been got made at state level.
He said that keeping in view demands raised by traders regarding improvement in infrastructure during these meetings, this special fund of Rs 40 crore has been got approved.
He said that Punjab Government is fully committed to welfare of traders, further promotion of commercial activities and all-round development of markets. He said that this special fund will prove to be an important and visionary step in same direction.
On this occasion Punjab State Trader Commission Member Punjab Sanjeev Gupta, Punjab State Trader Commission Member Punjab Harjesh Gop, Punjab State Trader Commission District Chairman Arun Jindal, Punjab State Trader Commission Lehra Constituency Chairman Prince Garg, Punjab State Trader Commission Dirba Constituency Chairman Ajay Bansal, Punjab State Trader Commission Sunam Constituency Chairman Ram Kumar, Punjab State Trader Commission Sangrur Constituency Chairman Sukhwinder Singh, Punjab State Trader Commission Dhuri Constituency Chairman Pushpinder Sharma were present.
