Restrictions lifted in Ladakh internet services restored schools and colleges also opened

LEH- In a significant development indicating the return of peace and stability, the Union Territory of Ladakh has witnessed a complete restoration of normalcy with uninterrupted internet services, smooth functioning of educational institutions and resumption of public transport and other civic activities. Restrictions have been lifted in Ladakh in view of the cooperation and responsible behavior of the people.
While chairing a high-level security review meeting here, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta expressed satisfaction over the prevailing peace and order in the Union Territory. He appreciated the efforts of the civil and police administration, security forces and the people of Ladakh for their collective role in maintaining peace and harmony.
Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor said that the people of Ladakh have shown exemplary patience and unity during the recent challenging times. He stressed that their spirit of cooperation has played a significant role in the speedy restoration of normal life across the region. "The restoration of normal life is a clear reflection of the administration's confidence in its commitment to ensuring security, stability and inclusive development of the people," he said. Highlighting the deep-rooted nationalism among the people, the Lt Governor said, "Ladakhis are among the most patriotic citizens of our country, who have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the country to safeguard national interests."
