Republic Day will be celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain

Hoshiarpur:- A district-level meeting was held today at the conference hall located at Police Lines with the heads of various departments regarding the preparations for the Republic Day celebration to be held on January 26. SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik was also specially present in the meeting.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner gave clear instructions that all the officers should perform their duties with full seriousness, coordination and dedication, so that this national festival can be celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and respect. Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that like every year, this year too, the district-level Republic Day will be organized on January 26 at Police Lines Ground, Hoshiarpur.
She said that on this occasion, families of freedom fighters, brave women and eminent personalities who have rendered excellent services in various fields will also be honored. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain directed the District Police to make adequate security arrangements as well as to ensure proper parking arrangements. Apart from this, cleanliness, availability of drinking water, arrangement of temporary toilets and deployment of a medical team by the Health Department were also asked to ensure cleanliness at the venue.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the police contingents to conduct regular exercises in preparation for the march past. The Deputy Commissioner directed the District Education Officer to select schools from now on for the cultural programs to be performed by school children during the Republic Day celebrations, so that the quality of the programs and time management are maintained.
He said that all the arrangements including tableaux, bands, barricading, decoration of the pandal, rehearsals, distribution of awards and certificates to be taken out by the departments should be completed on time so that the event can be memorable. On this occasion, SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik said that security arrangements will be on the highest priority during the Republic Day celebrations.
For this, special arrangements will be made keeping in mind the deployment of sufficient police force, smooth traffic management, diversion plan and convenience of the general public, so that there is no inconvenience of any kind.
