Batala, 4th August- Online recruitment of Civil Defence Volunteers has started for youths, women and citizens interested in social service who have the spirit of selfless service to the nation. Interested citizens can register by visiting the website: https://civildefencewarriors.gov.in/.
Sharing information in this regard, Ravel Singh Randhawa (President Awardee) District Commander, Punjab Home Guards-cum-Additional Controller Civil Defence Gurdaspur informed that every eligible citizen of 18 years of age or above can apply online for this recruitment. The registration process is completely online and candidates can register through their mobile number and fill the application. After submitting the application, its status can also be seen on the portal.
Further, Post Warden Harbakhsh Singh informed that from time to time special training related to disaster management, first aid, fire protection, search and rescue, emergency response and public safety is given to Civil Defence Volunteers. In a crisis or disaster situation, these volunteers play an important role across the country in public safety and relief operations in collaboration with the administration and are playing it.
