Red Cross always ready to serve humanity Ankita Kansal

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 30 July:- Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Society, Mrs. Komal Mittal, the District Red Cross Society runs welfare activities from time to time to help the needy and economically weaker families.
Under this series, Shri Harminder Singh son of Shri Jarnail Singh, resident of village Tiur, District SAS Nagar, who earns his livelihood by doing labour work, was seriously injured when a wall collapsed on him while working during an accident. At present he is undergoing treatment at PGI, Chandigarh. As there is no other earning member in the family, they are facing difficulties regarding financial and daily needs.
Keeping in mind its objective of service to humanity, the District Red Cross Society provided a free ration kit to the family.
On this occasion, Dr. Ankita Kansal, PCS, Assistant Commissioner-cum-Honorary Secretary, District Red Cross Society, SAS Nagar said that Red Cross Society always remains committed to help the needy people in times of crisis and distress. She said that the ration kit provided includes flour, pulses, sugar, edible oil, rice and other essential items of daily use, so that the basic needs of the family can be met to some extent.
On this occasion, General Secretary of District Red Cross Society Shri Harbans Singh said that the main objective of Red Cross is to selflessly serve humanity and the Society will continue to strive to provide all possible assistance to the needy in future as well.
