RBU felicitates faculty members who joined FDP
Delhi, 02, June:- Faculty members from the ECE/EE Department of Rayat Bahra University School of Engineering and University School of Polytechnic participated in a prestigious seven-day faculty development programme at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The initiative was taken under the visionary leadership of Group Vice Chairman Gurinder Singh Bahra and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, with the academic guidance of Dean Engineering Prof. (Dr.) Anmol Goyal and Principal Polytechnic and Head, ECE/EE Department Engr. Sonal Sood. During the first four days of the FDP, the participants immersed themselves in the vibrant innovation ecosystem and research-based learning environment of IIT Delhi. The program began with hands-on exposure to makerspace technologies, including CAD, 3D printing, electronics, laser cutting, CNC routing, and problem-solving techniques.
The sessions that followed focused on the fundamentals of design thinking, with emphasis on empathy, user research, problem definition, and creative ideation.
Faculty members also explored systems thinking, product design, project development, and low- and high-fidelity prototyping methodologies. The fourth day concluded with user testing, prototype refinement, final presentations, and expert discussions.
